5 UHS Musicians Selected for District Orchestra

Saturday was a long but fruitful day for our HS Orchestra students who auditioned for PMEA District 12 Orchestra. We had more string students (5) make it than ever before!

Eddy Pyun (cello ranked #2 in the district)
Hannah Nam (violin ranked #6)
Jack Haley, Alexandra Kimmel, and Lind Sun were also selected for the violin section.
Nate Dalton was chosen for the Percussion section.

This audition was open to 10-12th graders in Chester, Delaware and Philadelphia Counties -District 12

Congratulations to these talented and hard working students.

21 UHS Students Earn Top Honors in Regional FBLA Competition

UHS Speech and Debate Team Earn High Honors at PHSSL Tournament

Congratulations to the UHS Speech and Debate team for a great showing at the first PHSSL tournament at Lower Merion, competing against 200 students from other schools.
Freshman Matt Schievert won first in Extemporaneous speaking, with Conor Fitzgibbon coming in second.
Freshmen Nick Caputo and Patrick LaChance were undefeated in Public Forum debate; Alex Shin was undefeated in Lincoln Douglas debate.
Juliet Taylor tied for first in Prose, and Virginia Bonds tied for first in Humorous Interp.

JUDGING CLINICS THIS TUESDAY AND THURSDAY (OCT. 25 AND 27) IN THE LIBRARY FROM 7-9PM.

Speech and Debate Team takes first place in Speech Events

Congratulations to the team members who participated in the Gwynedd Mercy Academy PVFL Novice tournament on October 8th.

The team took first place in Speech events, and placed third overall. Highlights include:
